FAQ

How do I care for my new jewellery?

Precious metals are natural materials from the earth and must be taken care of.   Remove jewellery before your bathe, and try to prevent any lotions, make-up or perfume coming into contact with your jewellery.  Think last on, first off.

Sterling silver will naturally tarnish over time. To slow this process, store your jewellery in a dry air tight container.

You should wash your jewellery occasionally with warm water and mild soap using a soft toothbrush to help reach tighter areas.  If the tarnish lingers, you could try a polishing cloth or dip tarnish remover, but do not use these on gemstones or pearls.

Where do you source your materials?

I purchase precious metals from Hatton Garden in London.  I source freshwater pearls and natural gemstones from independent small businesses who have clear fair trade policies.

Is each piece of jewellery hallmarked?

Hallmarking is a legal requirement in the UK to sell precious metals such as gold and silver over a certain weight - for gold 1 gram and silver 7.78 grams.

I'm registered with the London Assay Office and my sponsor's mark is my initials AC.

All items over these weights will be laser hallmarked by the London Assay Office.  Items under these weights won't be hallmarked as standard, however, you can request items to be hallmarked for an additional cost. Items need to be sent to the London Assay Office in order to be hallmarked, and hall marking can take 4 to 6 weeks, therefore please bear this in mind if you need your item by a certain date.
