I love creating personalised gemstone necklaces for clients to signify those close to their hearts.  For example, clients have requested necklaces made from, or incorporating, the birthstones within their family.

For myself, I've made a peridot necklace, which is the birthstone of our daughter, with freshwater pearls to signify our love of the sea, a small shell found on our first trip to the beach and baltic amber beads.  It may sound like a very unusual combination, but it really does work with high quality gemstones and great design.

The gemstone beads I typically use are:

January: garnet

February: amethyst

March: aquamarine

April: clear quartz

May: green onyx, chrysoprase

June: pearl, moonstone

July: red carnelian

August: peridot

September: iolite (water sapphire), moonstone

October: opal, tourmaline

November: yellow topaz, citrine

December: turquoise, lapis lazuli, blue topaz
